Hi, and welcome to the seventh round of Be The First! (Apologies for being late in getting this started; I just got back online after having been away for quite a while. Sorry for the wait!)

This is a low-pressure challenge to write a fic, of any length, for a fandom that previously had none. That's it! If you want to take part, just reply to this post :)

Quick rundown: You have two months to write. The deadline is at 23.59 GMT on the 20th of April, and the archive will go live at 00.01 GMT on the 22nd of April. You can submit up to four stories, as long as they are for different fandoms.

If you'd like more information beyond those basic points, then you can find the FAQ right here. The AO3 collection for this year is here, and I'll be putting up a fandom promo post in roughly a week.

Somehow, in among all the exchanges I'm signing up for, I will produce something for this challenge. I love the idea, it was great fun last year, and it's such a perfect opportunity to introduce one (or four) of my niche fandoms (that aren't even fandoms yet) to the wider world. :)

Hi! This is such a great idea - I've inadvertently been the first in a number of fandoms, but doing it on purpose is mindblowing! I have about six eligible fandoms I want to play in, but I'm also moving in two weeks, so I'll start with just one: Easy (TV).

I stumbled across a fandom with no fics on Ao3, ff.net or wattpad that I can tell, so I'm signing up to write for Something in my Room. (And I guess if someone else posts something before the 22, I guess this is my statement that there weren't any at the time of this comment?)

I'd like to sign up, but once again, I'm writing for an obscure 70s robot anime. It sort of has fics on AO3, but they're massive crossovers. One doesn't bring it up at all, but the other does bring it up for a bit. The fic isn't complete, and Daimos is just one series among others without any particular focus. If I write a fic that's specifically Daimos-focused, does that still count?

Yes, that sounds perfectly fine, as fics like that are why I added the crossover rule in the first place. Also, yay, Daimos!
