Realized my fic is not in fact the first on AO3 as the tag is (movie year) instead of (year) for the fandom, so there’s only one other fic. Is that alright or should I pull my fic from the collection?

It's okay if you somehow missed it when checking, mistakes happen. So don't worry about it! (And just for the record, I want to mention one thing since you specified AO3: This isn't a challenge to be the first there, but rather everywhere in general. So places like fanfiction.net or fandom-specific archives or whatever would count too.)
