A little more than half the writing time has now gone by, and the deadline is starting to approach. How goes it, everyone? I hope all is well, but please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You've got until 23.59 GMT on the 20th of April to add your fic(s) to the collection — so don't panic, there's still plenty of time.

If your writing is coming along nicely (or if you'd like to procrastinate), you can do some canon promoting here, or maybe just check out what others have posted.

So I failed again and again to find a qualifying fandom for this in a fandom for which I wanted to write, and now I've found two of them, but I want to use only one this round and save one for next round. Decisions, decisions...haven't decided which one to do for this round.

It's going well so far! I've got a core double drabble that could stand alone if need be, but I'm building out from it in either direction.

First off, congrats on finally finding some fandoms that worked for you! As for your conundrum, I obviously don't know what will work best for you, but when I'm in a similar situation I'll usually just start writing multiple stories -- invariably one will go better than the other(s), or just be more fun to write. Regardless of how you do it, I wish you good luck!

Plotbunny is now so well-developed that I will deffo be starting on ficcing tonight or tomorrow.

Question: after completing the storyline of this fanwork for which no other fic exists, may I add a coda that makes a slight reference to another show which does have fic? The reference would have to do with the main character of this fic having co-starred in that other show.

Right now the rules say no to crossovers where the other fandom has fics, but the way you describe it makes it sound like a very oblique reference which I think would be okay, yes! Thanks for asking :)

Thank you kindly for the quick answer so I can keep on with the fic. No, it's not a crossover -- I know that's against the rules -- there's only the one fandom in the pre-coda storyline and then the coda mentions something that is in common between the movie on which the fic is based and a TV show from years later.

I got a fic done for the Kevin Costner movie Revenge, but it seems so short and sad. I just don't know what to do with it (or myself) now!

It's been ages since I saw that movie, but FWIW I think something sad suits it very well! So I say good job on both finishing and posting :Db

I have overestimated my free time and underestimated my preference for reading a book in 1 or 2 sittings (even if it's a reread) so I think I should switch to my second fandom of choice because comics are so much easier to (re)read chapter-by-chapter than a 400+ pages long book :') But I think I can still make it with that one!

Thanks to the extension I'm able to be able to do this (!), but I wanted to check the fandom I'm writing. As far as I can tell, there is no fic that is just for the 1996 movie "Killer Condom/Kondom des Grauens," but I did find a crossover with House M.D. on ff.net that was also crossposted to AO3 in 2013. It's located here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/929433 and is tagged just as a House story with barely any mention of the movie (it's "inspirited" by it and has two characters cameo but they have no real significance beyond going "oh, yeah, that's happened before.") If this qualifies, I should note that I'm planning on doing a crossover of my own with Killer Condom and the Cornell Woolrich short story, I'm Dangerous Tonight, which definitely has no fic.

That absolutely qualifies (and sounds like a hoot, to boot)! Write like the wind, but don't stress too badly -- I won't post about it until later tonight, but I'll throw in the typical "surprise" extra mini-extension, so you basically have an extra day to write if that helps. I hope you make it!
