Hi, and welcome to the ninth round of Be The First!

This is a low-pressure challenge to write a fic, of any length, for a fandom that previously had none. That's it! If you want to take part, just reply to this post :)

Quick rundown: You have two months to write. The deadline is at 23.59 GMT on the 20th of April, and the archive will go live at 00.01 GMT on the 22nd of April. You can submit up to four stories, as long as they are for different fandoms.

If you'd like more information beyond those basic points, then you can find the FAQ right here. The AO3 collection for this year is here, and I'll be putting up a fandom promo post in roughly a week.

So far the fandoms I've had in mind turned out to be tiny fandoms with a tiny bit of fic, but I'm going to keep looking for something that qualifies, so please sign me up.

Just to make sure, that tiny bit of fic you mention is in English and not crossovers that focus more on the other fandom(s)? Because otherwise it'd work!

I'd like to sign up! I'm considering 2 fandoms, both have fics but none of those are in English. One has canonical fandom/character/relationship tags already but both existing fics are in French, the other has 2 fics in Chinese but no wrangled tag, not even a fandom tag.

The 2nd fandom is both a book and a movie. Can I write a "keep what sparkles joy in each canon" fanfic (this is often what I do in case of adaptations) and use an "All Media Types" fandom tag from the get go?

Sign me up! This is the first AO3 challenge/exchange I've done, so I'm a bit excited. I'm planning to write about Iwaju, which did not have any fics at the time of this comment (I checked on AO3 and fanfiction.net). My account name on AO3, on which I'll be posting the fic, is lefemmerouge2. If I can find at least three other fandoms for which there aren't fics, I might post those as well.
