Hi, and welcome to the ninth round of Be The First!

This is a low-pressure challenge to write a fic, of any length, for a fandom that previously had none. That's it! If you want to take part, just reply to this post :)

Quick rundown: You have two months to write. The deadline is at 23.59 GMT on the 20th of April, and the archive will go live at 00.01 GMT on the 22nd of April. You can submit up to four stories, as long as they are for different fandoms.

If you'd like more information beyond those basic points, then you can find the FAQ right here. The AO3 collection for this year is here, and I'll be putting up a fandom promo post in roughly a week.

Sign me up for two fandoms. I can't promise a multi-chaptered work for one but for the other, definitely. I'm Xepru on AO3 as well as here, named after the little critter in my avatar.

Stories of all lengths are welcome, so please don't feel any pressure to write multi-chaptered epics unless you truly want to! Oh, and that's a very cute critter :)

Thank you for clarifying! Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier, DW wasn't giving me notifications for some reason. And yes, it's a cute critter - it's a Neopets creature (technically a 'petpet', which is a pet for your Neopet - it makes sense in context). I used to be obsessed with it as a kid.

Also, a different question: I'm currently writing a pairing that has fics already, but I'm pretty sure I'm writing the first Hanahaki (fictional disease, where flowers grow in your lungs when you're on love) fic in this fandom- Is it "first enough" to take part here?

Definitely not too late; no deadline to sign-ups! :D

And I'm sorry, but the answer is no. This challenge is specifically for writing the first fic for a fandom, the actual content (including pairings) is irrelevant.
